Manifesto · Why Anteriq

Advice is the product.
The rest should run itself.

For most of the last forty years, planning software was sold to people who custody assets, and planners were a tax on the stack — billed per seat, charged per integration, asked to fit advice around a portfolio tool.

Advice-Only is a different shape. The client pays for the advice. The planner owns the relationship. The software should start from there — and Anteriq does.

Principles

Five commitments we make
to every planner on Anteriq.

01

Advice-Only, not Advice-Adjacent

We don't build for custodians, broker-dealers, or asset gatherers and bolt on a 'planner mode'. Anteriq is built around the Advice-Only engagement from day one — and every feature decision starts there.

02

No cut of your fees

Software is software, and your fees are your fees. We charge for Anteriq. We don't take a percentage of what you bill, what you collect, or what your clients invest.

03

Your client portal is your client portal

The portal carries your firm's name and logo. Anteriq is the chassis underneath, not the brand on top. When clients talk about "my planner", they're talking about you.

04

Compliance is a first-class citizen

Every signed form, every onboarding record, every assessment leaves a structured audit trail. We don't ship feel-good UX that breaks your file.

05

Build with planners, not just for them

Early-access firms join our roadmap calls. We publish what we're building and why, and we change course when the work tells us to.

The name

One coined word: anteriq.

Pronounced an-ter-ik — three even syllables, no Q-emphasis. It reads as a single, deliberate word; not an acronym, not an abbreviation.

The mark is three bars rising from a wider base — a practice built up on a foundation that holds. It's the quiet idea behind everything here: lead with advice, and let the rest stand on something solid.

Who's behind it

One builder, building for the planners
who'll define the next decade.

Brian Rudd

Anteriq is built and run by one person — me. I'm based in Colorado, building the workspace I wished existed for running an Advice-Only practice: one place for onboarding, plans, billing, compliance, and the client relationship, without stitching five tools together.

That means every decision is close to the work, and early-access firms talk to the person who actually builds it.

A note from the founder

"I started Anteriq because I watched too many great planners spend their evenings reconciling tools instead of advising clients. The work is too important — and the practitioners too smart — for the software to keep getting in the way."
